Families with school-age children and teens who are curious about nature, wildlife, and new cultures will feel right at home. It is especially well suited for parents, grandparents, and multigenerational families who want meaningful time together without the stress of planning every detail.

To help every family choose the right experience, this trip may not be the best fit for:
• Adults seeking an adults-only escape, nightlife-focused itinerary, or party atmosphere
• Travelers who prefer a fast-paced schedule with activities from early morning until late at night
• Families who want a completely unstructured vacation with no planned group experiences
• Travelers uncomfortable with warm tropical weather, wildlife, beach settings, or time spent outdoors
• Anyone expecting every activity to suit every age, ability, or comfort level without modification
• Travelers seeking a budget or backpacking-style trip
Some experiences may have age, height, mobility, or safety requirements established by local operators. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their children and deciding whether optional or included activities are appropriate for them. Flexibility and a positive, adventurous spirit will help your family get the most from this journey.
Activity Level: Light to Moderate
This itinerary is designed for families and blends relaxed resort time with active exploration. Guests should be comfortable walking on uneven paths, navigating steps, getting in and out of vehicles or boats, and spending time outdoors in warm, humid weather. Most scheduled experiences are suitable for generally active families, but certain excursions may involve longer walks, water activities, or optional adventures with age, height, weight, mobility, or safety requirements. Final activity details and operator restrictions will be shared as the itinerary is confirmed. Comfortable closed-toe walking shoes, sun protection, reusable water bottles, and lightweight clothing are recommended. Families may choose to sit out optional activities and enjoy downtime when available; however, alternate programming, private transportation, or refunds for missed activities are not guaranteed.

We offer two accommodation options to suit your travel style and comfort needs:
1. Single Occupancy Rooms: If you treasure privacy, are a light sleeper, or have specific sleep-related preferences, this is the ideal choice for you. Our single rooms provide a tranquil, personal environment, typically featuring a queen or king-size bed. This option is particularly recommended for those who may be sensitive to noises like snoring, or who prefer not to be disturbed.
2. Double Occupancy Rooms: This budget-friendly option allows travelers to share a room with another trip participant. We always aim for rooms with two twin or queen beds. However, due to varying global hotel standards, we cannot guarantee the availability of two separate beds in every location. There is a possibility of needing to share a bed. We emphasize that if you have concerns about sharing sleeping space, particularly if you are a light sleeper or have specific needs or sensitivities, it's advisable to choose a single room or upgrade your booking promptly. This ensures we can accommodate your request for an additional room, as we are unable to make changes to rooming arrangements during the trip.
To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable journey, please select your accommodation type based on your personal comfort requirements and sleeping habits. Our aim is to provide a memorable and hassle-free travel experience for all our guests!

This evening, we’ll officially kick off our Costa Rican adventure with a special Welcome Dinner. It’s the perfect opportunity for parents and kids to meet their fellow travelers, enjoy their first taste of Costa Rican hospitality, and get excited for the week ahead. Pura Vida—our family adventure begins!
Our first adventure takes us to the beautiful Llanos del Cortés Waterfall, one of Guanacaste’s natural treasures. Surrounded by lush tropical scenery, this impressive waterfall creates the perfect setting for a fun and refreshing day in nature.
Families will have time to enjoy the surroundings, take photos, cool off in the water when conditions permit, and experience one of Costa Rica’s beautiful natural landscapes together. It’s a relaxing introduction to the country’s famous Pura Vida lifestyle.
Get ready for a day filled with adventure! We’ll head toward the Rincón de la Vieja region, known for its volcanic landscapes, tropical forests and outdoor activities.
Today is all about experiencing Costa Rica’s adventurous side with a combination of family-friendly activities, which may include ziplining, horseback riding, nature experiences, volcanic mud baths and relaxing hot springs. With activities for both parents and kids, this will be one of the most exciting days of our journey.
Today brings together two things Costa Rica is famous for—wildlife and adventure! We’ll spend the day experiencing the natural beauty of Guanacaste with opportunities for an exhilarating zipline adventure and encounters with some of Costa Rica’s fascinating wildlife.
From colorful tropical birds and monkeys to sloths and other native species, today gives the entire family an opportunity to learn more about Costa Rica’s incredible biodiversity while making some unforgettable memories together.
Today is completely yours! Sleep in, enjoy a leisurely breakfast, spend the day by the pool or beach, explore the surrounding area, book an optional activity, or simply enjoy quality time together as a family.
With no scheduled group activities, this is the perfect opportunity to slow down and experience Pura Vida at your own pace before the adventures continue.
It’s time to experience Costa Rica from the water! We’ll set sail along the beautiful Pacific coastline of Guanacaste for a fun-filled family catamaran experience.
Enjoy the tropical scenery, ocean breezes, swimming and snorkeling opportunities as we cruise along the coast. As the afternoon winds down, we’ll take in a beautiful Costa Rican sunset over the Pacific Ocean—the perfect ending to a day on the water.
For our final full day, we’ll experience another side of Costa Rica through a fun and interactive cultural experience designed for the entire family. Through local food, traditions and hands-on activities, parents and kids will have an opportunity to learn more about Costa Rican culture and everyday life.
Afterward, there will be time to relax and enjoy the final afternoon before we gather for a special Farewell Dinner. Tonight is about celebrating new friendships, family memories, incredible adventures, and an unforgettable week together in Costa Rica.
After an incredible week of waterfalls, wildlife, volcanoes, adventure, culture and family fun, it’s time to say hasta luego to Costa Rica.
Enjoy breakfast and any final moments at the hotel before checking out and transferring to Liberia International Airport (LIR) for flights home. We leave Costa Rica with incredible memories, new friendships, and plenty of stories to share from our family adventure.
