Japan is a destination where centuries-old traditions, cutting-edge innovation, incredible cuisine, and unmistakable style come together—and this Haitian Nomad experience is designed to give you a taste of it all.
Join us for an unforgettable journey through Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, three cities that showcase completely different sides of Japan.
We’ll begin in Tokyo, where futuristic skylines and buzzing neighborhoods exist alongside peaceful temples and deeply rooted traditions. Beyond seeing the city, we’ll experience it through its food, nightlife, culture, and some of the wonderfully unexpected experiences that make Tokyo unlike anywhere else in the world—including our signature Ninja dining experience.
From Tokyo, we’ll board Japan’s famous Shinkansen bullet train and trade the energy of the capital for the beauty and traditions of Kyoto. Here, we’ll explore some of the ancient capital’s most captivating sights, participate in a private Japanese tea ceremony, and enjoy the immersive Le Petit Chef dining experience.
Our journey continues to Osaka, Japan’s famously fun and food-obsessed city, where we'll experience another side of Japanese urban life while enjoying a stay at the luxurious InterContinental Osaka.
Throughout the week, we’ve taken care of the details—from carefully selected accommodations and private touring to memorable dining experiences, transportation between destinations, and a selection of included meals—so you can focus on experiencing Japan.
And for those who want a little extra magic, you'll have the opportunity to add an optional day at Tokyo DisneySea, widely regarded as one of the most unique Disney parks in the world.
This isn't a trip designed to simply check Japan off your list. It's an opportunity to experience Japan the Haitian Nomad way: thoughtfully curated, culturally immersive, elevated, and shared with an incredible community of travelers.
Tokyo. Kyoto. Osaka. One unforgettable week in Japan. 🇯🇵
**Itinerary subject to change**
🇯🇵 Travelers Ready to Experience the Best of Japan
This trip is perfect for travelers who want to experience Japan beyond simply checking landmarks off a list. We’ve curated a journey through Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka that combines iconic sights with food, culture, traditions, and memorable experiences.
🍣 Foodies & Experience Seekers
Japan is one of the world's greatest culinary destinations, and food will be an important part of this journey. From our Tokyo food experience and Ninja Restaurant to Le Petit Chef and thoughtfully selected group meals, come ready to eat, explore, and try something new.
🏯 Culture & Tradition Lovers
If you're fascinated by Japanese culture, history, and traditions, you'll appreciate experiences like our private tea ceremony and exploration of Kyoto alongside the exciting modern energy of Tokyo and Osaka.
✨ Travelers Who Appreciate an Elevated Experience
This isn't a backpacking trip. We prioritize quality accommodations, private touring, organized transportation, great dining, and thoughtfully planned experiences while still giving you opportunities to explore independently.
🚄 Travelers Who Enjoy a Multi-City Adventure
We'll experience three distinctly different Japanese cities and travel aboard the famous Shinkansen bullet train. This trip is ideal for travelers who enjoy an active itinerary and want to see a lot during one incredible week.
👥 Solo Travelers, Couples & Friends
Whether you're joining alone, traveling with a partner, or bringing a friend, Haitian Nomad trips are designed around community. Many of our guests arrive without knowing anyone and leave with new friendships and shared memories.
🌏 First-Time & Returning Japan Travelers
Never been to Japan? This itinerary provides an excellent introduction. Already visited? Our curated dining, cultural experiences, and group activities offer a different way to experience the country.
🎢 Anyone Who Wants a Little Extra Magic
Disney fans can make the experience even more memorable with our optional Tokyo DisneySea add-on, including park admission and private round-trip transportation.
🛋️ Travelers Looking for a Slow-Paced Vacation
Japan is best experienced on the move. We’ll be exploring Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka within one week, so expect full days, early starts, and an itinerary designed to maximize our time in each destination.
🚶 Travelers Uncomfortable With Significant Walking
Japan involves a lot of walking—even when private transportation is provided. Train stations, attractions, temples, shopping districts, and pedestrian areas can require considerable time on foot, including stairs and uneven surfaces. Guests should be comfortable with an active travel experience.
⏰ Travelers Who Struggle With Group Schedules
Our experiences, restaurant reservations, trains, and private tours operate on specific schedules, and punctuality is particularly important in Japan. This trip may not be the right fit if you prefer arriving whenever you're ready or frequently need additional time before scheduled departures.
🗺️ Travelers Expecting Every Moment to Be Structured
While we've curated an extensive itinerary, we intentionally include some free time. Japan is an incredible destination to explore independently, whether you want to shop, discover a restaurant, visit an attraction, or simply wander through a neighborhood that catches your attention.
🍽️ Travelers With Very Restrictive Dining Expectations
Food is an important part of this experience, and several meals and culinary experiences are pre-arranged. We will communicate dietary restrictions to our partners whenever possible, but we cannot guarantee that every restaurant or experience in Japan can accommodate every allergy, restriction, or preference.
🧳 Travelers Who Don't Pack With Mobility in Mind
We'll be traveling between multiple cities using Japan's rail system, including the Shinkansen. Large or excessive luggage can make these transitions unnecessarily difficult. We strongly encourage traveling light and following any luggage guidelines provided before departure.
💸 Travelers Looking for a Budget Trip
This experience prioritizes quality hotels, private touring, curated dining, cultural experiences, and seamless logistics. If your primary consideration when choosing a Japan trip is finding the lowest possible price, this probably isn't the right experience for you.
🙅 Travelers Who Aren't Open to Cultural Differences
Japan has its own customs, etiquette, social expectations, cuisine, and way of doing things. This trip is for travelers who approach those differences with curiosity and respect—not travelers expecting Japan to adapt to what they're accustomed to at home.
🏃 Activity Level: Moderate to Active
Japan is an exciting destination best experienced on foot, so guests should come prepared for an active week with considerable walking. While private transportation will be provided for many of our scheduled activities, walking is an unavoidable—and enjoyable—part of exploring Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka.
🚶 Expect Plenty of Walking
On touring days, guests should be comfortable walking approximately 10,000–15,000+ steps per day. Some days may involve more depending on the itinerary and how much you choose to explore during your free time.
🚉 Trains, Stations & City Navigation
Japan's transportation system is incredibly efficient, but its major train stations can be enormous. Expect walking through stations, navigating platforms, using escalators and stairs, and boarding trains—including our Shinkansen journeys between cities.
🏯 Temples, Shrines & Historic Areas
Our sightseeing may include stairs, inclines, uneven surfaces, and locations where vehicles cannot drop us directly at the entrance. Comfortable walking shoes are essential.
⏰ Full Days & Early Starts
Some days will begin early and include several activities before returning to the hotel in the evening. Guests should be comfortable being out for extended periods and maintaining the group's scheduled departure times.
🧳 Multi-City Travel
We'll be traveling between Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka during the week. Guests must be able to comfortably manage their personal belongings during travel days. Specific luggage instructions will be provided before departure to make our train journeys as seamless as possible.
💪 Is This Trip Right for Your Fitness Level?
You do not need to be exceptionally athletic, but you should be able to walk for extended periods, climb stairs, stand for periods of time, and comfortably keep pace with a group without requiring regular mobility assistance.
Overall Activity Rating: 4/5 — Active ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆
